Tsunami Anniversary
I was at Kameswarem on 26th December 2006, a village hit by Tsunami last year . there was a silent procession for 5 kms and then an Inter Religious Prayer meeting. In the evening we distriuted 4 fishing boats. Today we went to the mangrove forests nearby and went into the sea too.

Madrid Helping
Just visiting a few shops of Comercio Justo , which means Fair Trade and knowing about the various means throug which the Spanish people are helping those in need.

Attended a Conference on 12 Hours for Asia, organised by the Muncipal Govenrment of Madrid. Many TV Presenters who covered the tragedy live were present and saw mand videos prepared by them.

Great week indeed for knowing many new things

Snow in Madrid
Mood:  chillin'
On Wednesday morning, the whole city of Madrid was covered with snow. For the first time, I was walking in the snow and it was a wonderful experience.

There is a market for second hand clothes and articles in Madrid , every Sunday morning. I visited it today but did not buy anything because the prices are almost equal to the regular market.

This Weekend we had the Retiro . Good time for reflection.

Since I will be leaving for India on 26th of March, now the attention is more towards India than about staying in Spain.

Visit to Salamanca
Last Saturday we went for an excursion to Salamanca from our Language Insitute Paraninfo . It was a wonderful trip along the snow clad mountains and green plains. The Cathedral and University of Salamanca dating from 12th centurary are worth visiting. It was a great weekend indeed.

A month over
Mood:  energetic
Of course January has passed with lots of travel in Africa and then to Spain. It seems as if I have just arrived and settled in Madrid. The past two weeks had been quite busy with the classes, contacts and getting used to the normal way of life in Madrid. It is a high information society and it is taken for granted that you know how to deal. I am satisfied with the month of January and for the next month, the only motto is to learn Espa?ol ! Adios.
